Bowral Hospital is seeking energetic, driven and flexible Hospital Assistants to join the expanding team.We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced role and can easily adapt to a variety of situations. The role is a dynamic role where your work will be allocated based on clinical needs and patient flow. You will be interacting with a diverse range of patients on a regular basis and you will have strong communication skills. You will have sound computer skills to allow you to access the key systems used within our district.Safety is at the forefront of this role and you will be able to adhere to a strict set of standards and regulations. Bowral & District Hospital (B&DH) is a major Rural Hospital which provides a wide range of services, including general medical, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatric, surgical, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, geriatric and emergency services.Originally founded in 1889, Bowral & District Hospital has been serving the needs of its local population for over a hundred years. From a humble cottage hospital origin, the hospital has grown to a 94-bed facility offering a range of general and specialised services.Part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, Bowral has close links with a range of Sydney's teaching and referring hospitals including Liverpool, Fairfield, Bankstown and Campbelltown hospitals.How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Demonstrated communication skills both verbal and written (tested at interview)
- Ability to navigate with a computer to undertake online training modules/update rosters through Health Roster and view/update the HRIS Human Resources Information System by way of Stafflink
- Demonstrated knowledge of Infection Prevention principles and WHS legislation
- Demonstrated Experience in cleaning within a healthcare, commercial or industrial setting
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently or in a group environment
