About the Role:
Food Services Assistants are responsible for the distribution and collection of all our customers menus, food and beverages.
To be successful, you will have a mandatory safe food handling & current knowledge of storage, cooking and serving requirements within the healthcare industry.
We have positions available, on a casual basis.
Weekend and Morning shifts as required.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Ensure all cutlery, crockery and condiments are presented according to the menu needs
- Ensure all meals are presented in appropriate proportions, of the correct temperature and according to the menu requests of the customer
- Involvement in the preparation of special dietary needs for patients as directed by the hospital Dietician/ Food Services Manager
- Liaise with patients and relatives and report outcomes or needs to the Manager of the department or your direct line manager/ supervisor
About you:
The successful candidate will have effective communication skills, ability to work in a team environment and excellent time management skills.
Current Food Handlers Certificate required. Experience in food preparation in the healthcare industry would be advantageous.
