We are seeking Prosthetics Assistant to join our team on a part time basis (2 days per week). The role of a Prosthetics Assistant is vital in supporting the hospital team in:
- Performing the functions of the department involving ordering and receipt of supplies, stock control, distribution and entering data into the inventory system
- Re-stocking supplies in Cath Lab and Theatre
- Liaising with all stakeholders involved with and concerning stock management
- Communicating with Suppliers as needed on order delivery timelines and ETAs
- Responding to customer queries in courteous and timely manner
- Accurately recording Prosthetic Inventory, Ordering and Billing
- Recording operating minutes into Webpas system as required
- Liaising effectively with surgeons and building an effective working relationship
- Maintaining a safe working environment for all stakeholders
- Achieving goals by working effectively with other team members
- Performing duties of Prosthetics Coordinator during periods of leave
Mandatory Qualification
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Computer literacy
- Competent with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge and skills in a health care setting
- Procurement experience and associated skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with D365 inventory Management and / or equivalent systems
- Prosthetics knowledge or experience will be highly regarded
- An understanding and awareness of OHS responsibilities
- Customer service experience
