Position Summary
Internal Expression of Interest: Hospital Registration Manager
Your part in the UnitingCare team:
As the Hospital Registration Manager, you will have overall responsibility for driving the patient clerical pre-admissions process and optimisation strategy, frameworks, policies, systems and processes across UnitingCare’s Hospital Group; The Wesley Hospital, St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, St Stephen’s Hospital Hervey Bay and Buderim Private Hospital.
Encompassing the patient revenue cycle (eligibility), you will ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective Hospital Registration service for all inpatient services, delivered with a high level of customer service.
Reporting to the Group Revenue Operations Manager, you will:

• Lead and direct activities that support the UnitingCare Hospitals Patient registration activities, and all relevant business systems and processes
• Create, implement and/ or continuously improve systems and processes to drive improved outcomes for the organization and customers
• Report centrally on UCH pre-admissions activities, risks and opportunities
• Investigate and analyse patient and customer complaints
• Ensure that all patients admitting to Uniting Care Hospitals have been through an eligibility assessment
• Identify the needs of customers and ensure they are attended to in a timely manner
• Establish, review and update policies and procedures (that fall outside of the above standardisation process) ensuring all are implemented and adhered to
• Ensure all staff conduct themselves in a professional, positive and service-orientated manner
• Propose and recommend strategies to improve the revenue cycle; financial and operational outcomes, including provision of supporting data and other material
• Ensure appropriate internal audit controls are in place
• Application owner for Hospital Admission Booking System (HABS) including regular enhancement plans
• Ownership and reporting of HABS uptake by patients
• Manage the Surgery Connect program
• Staff management
