WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is seeking experienced Consultant Psychiatrists to join the team in South West Region (Bunbury, Busselton and Margaret River).
We currently have positions available for immediate start with opportunities in:
- Heads of Department
- General Adult Inpatient Psychiatry
- General Adult Community Psychiatry
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service
- Consultation Liaison Psychiatry
About the Position
Come and join our growing team with exciting opportunities across our stunning region. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, in our team you will:
- Provide clinical services servicing patients across the Southwest region, with teams based either in Bunbury, Busselton or Margaret River.
- Look after the clinical management of patients (including families and carers) of the South West Mental Health Service as a leader of the multidisciplinary team.
- Be a part of our exciting new WACHS wide Rural Psychiatry Training (RPTWA based in Bunbury) zone. You will be required to supervise RANZCP accredited trainees and junior medical staff.
- Participate in education of medical students from WA Rural Clinical School.
- Join our local psychiatry community with an active continuing medical education program and college peer groups.
- Join an exciting innovative region with mental health services including, a 30-bed inpatient unit, Consultation Liaison service, Step up Step down, Adult community teams, CAMHS and Older Adult community teams, and plans to expand to have a MHOA and HITH in the coming years.
