Canex has an opportunity for 10 x Event Staff & General Handypersons to work across several establishments around Darwin.
The roles can vary and you could be tasked with furniture removalist work, cleaning, general maintenance, waiting and light general labouring for the hospitality sector. For this exciting role you must have a good level of physical fitness, as you are often on your feet and active for the majority of your shift.
Requirements:
- Some experience in hospitality roles
- Ready and able to work long shifts (11 hours a day)
- Be flexible in your approach to work
- A great attitude with your work
- Be neat in tidy
- Be able to work alone or part of a team.
You will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
The term of work will be from October 2024 to July 2025
You will be paid under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award [MA000009] or the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award 2020
- The work will range in pay from an ordinary rate of Level 1 $28/hr up to $40+/hr
- Working hours will vary from anywhere from 6am to 11pm, 7 days per week.
- Overtime rates will be paid where applicable
