Continuing, Full Time Commercial Services, Corporate Services Division CQUniversity Rockhampton Higher Education Worker Level 3 Total Remuneration $71,970 to $80,189 pa (including salary of $60,816 to $67,761 plus 17% superannuation and 12.96% leave loading) * Please note junior rates may apply. Job Requisition ID: 4427 You will effectively support the Head Chef in delivering kitchen and catering services undertaken at CQUniversity’s Student Residences (Capricornia College), ensuring compliance with legislative and occupational health and safety requirements. Duties will include (but are not limited to) supporting the production and planning of menus, preparation of basic food ingredients, requisitioning, ordering and storage of kitchen/catering supplies and other general cleaning duties.
Position Requirements
Completed a Certificate III in Cooking or completed Year 12 with 3 years relevant work experience or equivalent relevant experience or combination of relevant experience and education/training. Detailed and demonstrated knowledge of menu planning for a broad range of catering styles and types, including bulk cooking, ala carte and dietary requirements. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, unsupervised and be able to deliver a high-level customer service for clients. Demonstrated safe work practices and taken reasonable care of own and others health and safety. Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) (Desirable)

Student Residences Catering Attendant
Continuing, Part Time (30 Hours per week) Commercial Services, Corporate Services Division CQUniversity Rockhampton Higher Education Worker Level 2 Total Remuneration $56,893 to $58,318 pa (including salary of $48,076 to $49,279 plus 17% superannuation and 12.96% leave loading) Job Requisition ID 4428 You will provide exceptional customer service and assist with food preparation, kitchen cleaning, serving food and beverages and delivering meals and equipment. You will also follow and promote high standards of health and safety and maintain personal hygiene to required industry standards and site requirements.
Position Requirements
Awareness and understanding of hygiene requirements associated with working in a food service environment, including knowledge of and the ability to apply occupational health and safety obligations. Completion of Year 10 plus two to three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience/education. Experience in the hospitality industry, including the provision of quality customer service, cash handling/management, front-of-house duties and stock control. Proven skills in basic food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and safe work practices. Desirable Front-of-House operations and Stock Control knowledge. Completion of a Basic Barista Course. Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate. Food Handling Certificate
