The Opportunity:
The Waves Group is embarking on a period of expansion, with the acquisition of The Waves Club Elliott Heads formally known as Elliott Heads Coastal Club. The club is situated in a growth community with the recent announcement and approval of an additional 3,000 homes to be built in the local area.
To facilitate this, we are on the look-out for an industry leading Venue Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the Club reporting directly to The Group CEO.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate through experience the following responsibilities and duties.
Responsibilities & duties
- A positive and engaging leadership style, working closely with a professional management team to achieve outstanding results.
- A genuine commitment to compliance including liquor, gaming, Food Safety, WH&S, AML/CTF, and social responsibility.
- Capacity to engage in strategic initiatives and implement and manage marketing and operational plans.
- Effective business acumen and a high level of understanding of Club finances including budgets, profit and loss statements, benchmarks and KPI’s.
- Ability to grow revenues in all operational areas, including food, beverage, membership, and gaming revenues.
- Analyse, interpret and report on trading results in all areas.
- A passion for driving a positive workplace culture and exceptional customer service with customers and employees.
- Ability to implement, manage and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain effective relations with external contractors and suppliers.
Qualifications Required:
- Current RSA, RSG attainments;
- Current RMLV & Approved Managers License, and an understanding of relevant Club industry legislation and standards;
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a supervisory or management position in the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A thorough understanding of food and beverage service standards.
- Knowledge of safety and security protocols.
- Proficiency in financial management and cash handling.
- A passion for creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for customers
- Availability to work on nights, weekends, and public holidays.
