We are seeking to recruit a qualified Hospitality Payroll Bookkeeper to join our team. You will be working in our payroll team processing our various client’s payroll. As part of standard payroll functions there is also a bookkeeping component for several clients on billed payroll services. experience in this field would be an advantage.
To ensure success you should have detailed knowledge of accounting and payroll procedures, familiarity with awards, fair work legislation, and advanced mathematical skills. A skilled Payroll bookkeeper should be able to process all payroll requirements on time and resolve payroll issues in a timely manner.
Payroll Bookkeeping Responsibilities:
- Collecting daily, weekly, and monthly employee timesheets.
- Calculating employee work hours.
- Calculating employee benefits and deductions.
- Preparing weekly financial reports using payroll software.
- Ensuring taxes comply with company and state regulations.
- Preparing payroll reports.
- Responding to employee questions about compensation, taxes, benefits, and deductions.
- On boarding new employee data into the various payroll databases.
Payroll Bookkeeping Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Hospitality Payroll Bookkeeper
- Advanced Mathematical skills and strong attention to detail.
- Proficient with cloud based payroll software including:
- Familiarity with accounting software and procedures.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Familiarity with state labour laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prepare and present financial report.
- Mentoring and training of payroll staff
Clarity uses extensive Cloud based platforms and you must have commensurate experience in these environments.
