Due to continued growth, an excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Bookkeeper to join the SB Books team. Our business works closely with a vibrant and progressive accounting firm based in Ipswich. We have a reputation for delivering quality work and outstanding service to clients.
SB Books provides assistance with MYOB & Xero training, payroll, accounts payable, bank reconciliations through to Management reports, set up of client files and completion & lodgment of activity statements for a variety of clients and industries.
Job tasks and responsibilities
To be successful in this position, you will be able to use MYOB and Xero to complete the following tasks:
- Set up and implementation of client bookkeeping files
- Data entry - receivables and payables
- Accurate review of client files to locate errors in coding
- Processing payroll including superannuation
- Bank reconciliation
- Processing journals
- Preparation of BAS and IAS statements
- Finalising EFY Single Touch Payroll
- Liaising with clients as required
- Be able to work from SB Books office located in Ipswich
Skills and experience
The Successful Applicant is required to be:
- 3+ years bookkeeping experience
- Ability to hit deadlines and work in a fast paced environment
- Exceptional attention to deal
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Willingness to learn, show initiative and be a positive "team player"
