ABOUT THE JOB…
MGA & Workforce Plus are seeking an innovative and passionate Hospitality Trainer & Assessor to deliver Certificate III level training to our participants across the Gippsland area. Our sites include Bairnsdale, Sale, Warragal, Leongatha and Wonthaggi. We are searching for a flexible and self-motivated trainer who can service all participants and sites through blended learning, either through our Online LMS, Teams and face-to-face workshops across all locations.
We are flexible in the capacity of the role, and are willing to discuss full-time, part-time or casual positions with interested candidates. This will depend on past experience and quantity or relevant qualifications within the SIT Training Package.
The Trainer & Assessor will contribute to the vocational training and assessment of students in classrooms/workshops and/or the workplace environment, working to the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) requirements and competency standards.
This role requires timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks associated with training provision including the maintenance of accurate student records. Part of the role will involve the development and maintenance of links with internal and external clients, industry, and other stakeholders to promote the uptake of training.
This role will also participate in and contribute to the validation process in our Education Services to ensure that continuous improvement is ongoing in Industry. This will include regular reviews and additions to our Training Resources to ensure it reflects the accumulated knowledge that we continue to gather as we gain expertise in providing the best possible service to our participants.
ABOUT YOU…
- A genuine interest in improving the quality of life of people facing barriers to education, employment, and inclusion.
- Possess relevant qualifications in Certificate III in Hospitality and/or Certificate III in Tourism or higher with recent relevant industry experience and preferably the possession of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or higher. Workforce Plus may provide assistance to obtain training and assessment qualifications or upgrades to the right candidate.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct effective professional interactions with the learners, teaching staff, community, industry, and regional indigenous communities by engaging, respecting, involving listening to and encouraging participants.
- Demonstrated capacity to deliver flexible, innovative, and resource-based teaching and learning including online delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in effective and proactive teamwork recognizing the abilities of others and utilizing co-operative approaches.
- Demonstrated contemporary knowledge of computer software packages such as Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Sharepoint, PowerPoint, MS Teams) and Student Management Systems.
