About Us
We are a Holiday/Serviced Apartments management company with multiple properties throughout the Hunter/Newcastle area. These properties are run similarly to a hotel with mostly short-term bookings. Our guests are mainly regular business travellers during the week and families/tourists during weekends and school holidays. We are looking for the right person to fill shifts 4 days per week, 9.5 hour shifts with 3 days off each week. Shifts are 9am - 630pm. Our reception desk operates 7 days per week and some weekends will be required. Our office is based in Maitland. This role would be perfect for someone who likes to go above and beyond to provide the best possible experience for visitors to our area.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience using RMS is very beneficial.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within the accommodation industry is preferred.
- Experience in hotel cleaning and supervising would also be an asset, but not necessary.
- We require someone reliable and able to commit to their shifts each week.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Using the reservation system to check guests in and out, take payments and process bookings. We use RMS - any previous experience with this system will be very beneficial.
- Maintaining very close communications with our cleaning team. We use "Whatsapp" chat to communicate between departments, which must be monitored and actioned promptly throughout the day.
- Checking that cleaners have completed units to ensure a high standard is met.
- Supporting the cleaning and maintenance team with extra tasks if required.
- Finding solutions to a variety of issues that may come up during the shift.
- Showing up for your shifts and being reliable is a must. We need a commitment.
- Answering enquiries via phone calls and emails.
- Being pro-active in finding and fixing problems before they occur.
- We require someone with open availability who would be able to cover extra shifts here and there when needed to cover staff holidays and sickness.
