The role of Therapeutic House Managers are key positions across Marist180. They not only support the needs of children and young people in our programs, but also act as a support network for our staff to ensure they are trained and armed with the right tools to create positive change through a therapeutic intervention framework and guided by principles of permanency planning.You will be responsible for:
- Rostering and staffing needs, administrative tasks.
- Handling petty cash accounts.
- Supporting staff through reflective supervision, daily guidance and strategic long-term goal setting as well as training and coaching.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Maintain and promote collaborative working relationships as a member of the Care Team.
- A relevant Bachelor in Social Work, Human Services or similar; or working towards a Bachelor with a completed relevant diploma already.
- Experience working with children and young people experiencing complex trauma and families within the child protection system and in a residential setting.
- Demonstrated training in trauma related training.
- Strong background in leading and supporting staff, as well as the ability to manage and recruit staff.
- Sound communication skills and experience liaising with key stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Clear National Criminal History Check.
- Unrestricted NSW driver's licence. If you have a foreign driver's licence, you are required by the NSW Government to obtain an NSW Driver's Licence by 1 March 2025.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
- Provide M180 consent to complete a verification of the Residential Care Workers Register managed by the Office of the Children's Guardian.
