House Services Assistant

The hospital team:

• The successful applicant will be working in a supportive team environment with great cultures and awards providing excellence in the cleaning services role.
• The LGH House Services Department has been recognised during Accreditation for its exemplary cleaning practices and waste and linen management.

The role:

• Clean allocated areas in compliance with established procedures and protocols.

Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.

Details of Multiple Appointments:

• Permanent full time day worker - 76 hours per fortnight, 9.00am-5:21pm Monday to Friday
• Permanent full time day worker - 76 hours per fortnight, 9.00am-5:21pm Monday to Friday
• Permanent part time, shift worker - 40 hours per fortnight, 5.00pm-9.00pm Monday to Friday
• Fixed term part time, shift worker - 46 hours per fortnight, 5.00pm-9:30pm Monday to Thursday, 5.00pm-10.00pm Friday until 28 September 2024
• Fixed term part time, shift-worker -  28 hours per fortnight, 5.00pm-12.00am, Mondays & Fridays until 29 March 2025
• Fixed term, casual, shift-worker positions, working as and when required, including 11.00pm-7.00am, for a period of 12 months.

All positions are to commence as soon as the successful applicant is able to join the the team.

• Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $55,466 -$57,712 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible

• Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:

1. Current Driver’s Licence

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1. Conviction checks in the following areas:

1. crimes of violence
2. sex related offences
3. serious drug offences
4. crimes involving dishonesty
5. serious traffic offences

1. Identification check
2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
