ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:

Come work with us at the Mater Hospital in our environmental services department. We are looking for a cleaner who is available to work a Monday to Friday roster from 8.00am to 3.30 pm.

The Environmental Services department is responsible for the high standard of cleaning of the hospital. We have a diverse and efficient team that works together to maintain a hygienic and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.  You will be predominately working throughout the building collecting Linen and waste throughout the day.

The purpose of this role is to provide cleaning services and waste removal in line with the policies and procedures of the Hospital and the Environmental Services Department. The cleaner is required to liaise with staff and customers (nurses, patients, visitors) concerning the service provisions.

ABOUT YOU:

As an outstanding cleaner, you will have the following

  • Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not essential

  • Understanding of infection control principles

  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts

  • Ability to support the needs of the Environmental Services  department working independently or as a member of a team

  • Previous experience with a variety of cleaning equipment
