About the role
Reporting to directly to the Chief Operating Officer
Your duties will include but not limited to:
- Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and an incident/injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs.
- Comply with the requirements set out in the company’s Safety Policy and Standard Operation Procedures.
- Management of Airport functions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Performance monitoring of service level agreements with all relevant contractual service providers.
- Lead and manage a team of staff, including hiring, performance evaluation, and employee coaching and development.
- Ensuring compliance with airport security regulations and requirements.
- Manage the budget and financial performance of the airport, including invoicing and financial reporting.
- Oversight of the staff rosters
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Liaising with Airport Authorities as the Company Representative
- Liaison with other company departments on operational matters incl. chairing regular Port Meetings with other Managers & Supervisors
- Provide ad-hoc contingency operational support in the customer service department.
- Other duties as reasonably requested.
Personal Skills/Abilities (essential and desirable)
- Airline/Industry experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing people, preferably in Airport Operations or aviation management.
- Proven ability to manage employee performance.
- Working knowledge of airline reservations and check in systems preferable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage changing priorities and work under pressure.
