Housekeeping Duty Manager

An opportunity is now available for an experienced, energetic, customer focused and passionate Housekeeping Duty Manager to lead our busy guest services team at The Busselton Villas & Glamping Village in West Busselton, Western Australia.
The Busselton Villas & Glamping Villas is home to 13 Villas, 10 Apartments, Luxury Glamping Tents and chalets with our outdoor pool, games room, playgrounds, guest laundries, Outdoor Kitchen, Glampers Kitchen and direct beach access, we have everything within your reach within beautiful grounds.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the role plays an integral part in ensuring that the Villages reputation for impeccable presentation and customer service is exceeded at all times.
The Role:
Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping department to ensure service standards are followed with friendly and engaging manner
Handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying proper areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests
Ensure team members are informed daily about priorities to personalise service
Manage & train a fun and diverse team and assist them to achieve their goals
Manage costs and productivity
The key responsibilities will include:
Work within set budgets in relation to payroll costs and ensure rosters are compiled and adjusted appropriate to demand.
Leading the housekeeping team in all areas.
Develop a thorough knowledge of venue facilities including number, location, and types of villas, apartments and glamping tents.
Ensure the effective cleaning of all areas with clear concise checklists and undertake all audits.
Assist in maintaining specific cleaning procedures for staff to follow.
Ensure all accommodation cleans are performed in allotted times and meet schedule and high standard.
Inspect all arrival accommodation daily to ensure the highest standard is maintained.
Inspect public areas of the village throughout the day to ensure high standards are maintained.
Ensure that any early arrival guests are given priority and communicated effectively;
Ensure the security and privacy of guests, demonstrating your integrity and diligence always.
Ability to deal with staff relations- conflict resolution, absenteeism, work performance.
Linen and stock- orders, stock rotation, returns, quality control.
Manage and maintain in-house laundry turn over and requirements on a daily basis.
Conduct weekly stock takes on linen and amenities.
Communicate to the maintenance team any repairs and replacements necessary daily.
Ensuring work, health and safety is of the highest standard at all times.
To adhere to all meetings such as health and safety, infection prevention and control, regular team meetings.
Maintain a cost control system for supplies, linen and cleaning supplies for efficient operation of the property.

Must have a current Police Clearance
Must be computer literate.
The ability to lift, bend, move heavy equipment and remain on one's feet for extended periods of time.
This is a full-time role, working a spread of shifts over a 7-day roster, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and public holidays.
