This role is based at Perisher, the largest ski resort in the Southern Hemisphere, located in the beautiful Snowy Mountains region of South-Eastern NSW and just a two-hour drive from Canberra and the Far South Coast. Perisher is part of Vail Resorts who own and operate ski areas including iconic resorts including Perisher, Falls Creek and Hotham in Australia as well as Park City, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb and Vail in North America.
Reporting to The Station Manager, this key role will be responsible for providing management of the Housekeeping, Public Areas Cleaning and Laundry sections through the optimisation of labour and providing service delivery in a proactive and professional manner to support Room Services at The Station as well as provide laundry services to the broader company.
In a typical day in this role, you might:
- Integrate staffing between housekeeping and laundry teams to ensure that both areas are adequately staffed to meet business demands
- Work in a ‘hands on capacity’ in conjunction with all staff members and management to ensure optimum efficiency, as well as open and welcoming relationships
- Promote cohesion in teams, and liaise with department executives and managers to resolve internal issues and concerns.
- Ensure safe practices, relevant laws and regulations, and risk management is observed.
- Manage the daily rosters and schedule the flow of work through housekeeping and laundry teams, to maximise efficiencies in sorting linen from stripping through to washing and ironing, taking into consideration guest occupancy numbers and demand
- Provide supervision and guidance to the teams, ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard.
To be considered for this role, you should:
- Have at least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Be located in Australia (NSW preferred) with full working rights
- Hotel/Hospitality accommodation experience in Australia would be an advantage
- A Diploma or higher in Tourism and Hospitality Management would be preferred

Benefits: Indicative yearly salary: $70,000 - $75,000 plus superannuation
