About the Opportunity
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supporting the successful operation of the Housekeeping department. This includes adherence to all processes, safety requirements, productivity targets, quality standards, standard operating procedures, cleaning methods and the health of the team.

The role is focused on ensuring that the daily requirements of the Houseperson and Public Area teams are delivered to a consistently high standard and that the appropriate level of service to members, guests and visitors is maintained. Key responsibilities will include:
Supervise the Houseperson and Public Area teams and resources in the most efficient and effective manner to meet daily plans, business objectives and customer requirements.
Provide effective ‘hands on’ leadership to individuals through the creation of a safe, team orientated, challenging and motivating work environment to deliver high quality member services that provide value and benefit.
Oversee the day-to-day operations and direct the Houseperson and Public Area teams to carry out the required daily duties.
Assist in the recruitment and selection of staff for the housekeeping department.
Respond to daily issues and changing demands in conjunction with the Housekeeping Leadership Team.
This is a permanent, full-time position, working 38 hours per week.
What you’ll need to be successful
Availability across a 7-day rotating roster, and flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, evenings & public holidays
Leadership or management experience in a hotel/resort environment
Experience using MS Office Suite
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Plan and prioritise tasks effectively
Experience in staff recruitment, training, appraisal, counselling and development.
Ability to lead by example, encourage teamwork and motivate a team
Confident decision making and conflict resolution skills
Full working rights in Australia
Valid Australian drivers licence (essential)
