As the Human Resources Advisor, you will report directly to the Senior HRBP or the HR and Compliance Operations Manager. You will be responsible for providing a range of high quality, accurate and timely HR advice, administrative and support services to ensure the delivery of people management initiatives, projects and reporting activities. You will be confident and comfortable in giving advice to stakeholders on various industrial instruments specifically current policies and procedures, Fair Work Act, NES, Modern Awards, and contracts.
What you will do:
- Provide high-quality, accurate, and timely HR advice and support to managers and employees.
- Ability to interpret and work with Modern Awards and provide interpretation advice.
- Deliver a range of administrative and support services including records management and developing HR correspondence to support the effective operations of the HR team.
- Identify and analyse emerging issues, trends, statistics, and information relating to employee life cycle activities to inform effective decision-making, including preparing reports, submissions, and information.
- Assist the HR Business Partner / Manager to ensure Employment Agreements are compliant and suit business needs.
- Assist the Senior HRBP/ HR and Compliance Operations Manager with interviewing or any other associated recruitment activities on the ground.
- Develop and maintain new starter documentation, personnel files, and database. Manage the Induction process for the new joiners.
- Assist with investigations by attending the investigation interviews wherever required and writing reports and drafting letters
- Observe and practice Gouge’s OHS and Quality policy, guidelines and procedures.
- Anything at ad-hoc in capability and scope.
What you bring:
- 3-5 years of extensive experience in Human Resources.
- Experience in handling HR Operations, Recruitment and Knowledge of handling Industrial Investigations.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced work environment and willingness to travel to Melbourne at least 1 day a week, if required.
- Willingness to work from 9am to 5pm and work overtime occasionally but will be rewarded by RDO's.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, particularly modern Awards.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience in change management is a plus.
- IR experience is desired.
