The role:
The successful candidate will work closely with our managers and directors to provide effective advice and support on a range of people issues. The team have a large program of work in 2024 with a focus on people experience and programs which will underpin effective engagement, including workforce planning, effective leadership and performance, supporting organisational change programs, and contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices.
Day to day, you will be accountable for:
Solutions Focus: Partnering with our managers to provide HR advice and technical expertise that supports business relevant solutions. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as sector best practice;
Industrial Relations/Employee Relations: Provide subject matter expertise on industrial relations. Keep up to date with changes in employment legislation and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Administration, Data and Reporting: Manage contract documentation, develop reporting to provide trends and metrics in order to inform decision making and highlight trends with a view to continuous improvement of our people practices.
To be considered, candidates should be able to satisfy the following key criteria:
Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations or related field, or equivalent work experience;
A minimum of 3 years' experience in an HR advisory or business partnering role with demonstrated skills in coaching and supporting leaders;
A proven ability to build strong relationships based on effective advice;
Strong knowledge of Australian employment laws and regulations
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities;
Experience working in the early childhood education and care sector is highly desirable.
