As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Assistant to join our team and contribute to our mission.
Who Are We Looking For?
The Human Resources Assistant plays a pivotal role in providing administrative and operational support to Focus ACT. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Assistant will provide support across the entire employee lifecycle and various facets of the business. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the efficiency and compliance of HR activities, and supporting governance, legislative and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake all recruitment, selection and administrative functions related to recruitment and onboarding.
- Coordinate staff training and learning and development requirements with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and timely HR data, records, files, and databases and assist with associated reporting.
- Build and maintain positive relationships across the organisation, acting as the primary contact for operational matters to assist in delivery of HR service excellence.
- Coordinate information flows across the business and provide feedback on operational matters to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Contribute to compliance efforts ensuring adherence to NDIS regulations and employee legislative requirements.
- Support HR projects as directed by the HR Manager.
Essential Criteria:
- HR or equivalent qualification and / or previous experience working as part of an HR team.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships and influence others.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Your ability to be adopt a continuous improvement lens combined with your adaptability will be key to your success in this role.

As part of this role, you will need to successfully obtain a Working With Vulnerable People check and a National Police Check and hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate. Experience with Not For Profit organisations or familiarity with the NDIS will be highly regarded.
