About the opportunity
We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a HR Business Partnering Manager (HR Manager) to drive the operational and service delivery model for our department.
You will contribute by:
- Manage and motivate a team of HR professionals through coaching and supporting individuals and planning and organising work to deliver high levels of customer service, responsiveness and expert advice.
- Enhance the HR service capability and delivery model through leadership, managing of staff and ensuring consistency and quality in delivery of advice and outputs.
- Contribute to the overall leadership and strategy implementation of the department through close cooperation with the Head of People Experience and Human Resources and peers.
- Lead and manage a range of people management functions which may include performance management, workforce planning, policy development and implementation and reporting.
- Manage escalated ER matters, grievances, formal complaints, performance management, disciplinary matters, terminations, internal investigations and other complex cases.
- Manage Human Resources policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with legislation, EBA and VPS guidelines and provide effective implementation of changes.
- Prepare and support the Head of PE&HR in the development of ELT and Commission papers. Where required, assist in the preparation of papers for other committees.
To be successful, you'll have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, or relevant discipline.
- Experience in managing people with an emphasis on coaching and developing staff to enhance HR function capability and ensure service delivery excellence.
- Ability to cultivate a culture of high performance and demonstrate leadership style that is consistent with public sector values.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, collaboration and negotiation skills to build and maintain respectful collaborative and effective stakeholder relationships.
- Proven experience in leading the delivery of the full range of HR services and provision of expert HR advise.
- Demonstrated complex case management experience and expertise. Experienced in the management of various complex and sensitive ER Matters including performance management, misconduct, harassment, disciplinary matters, and formal grievances.
