You will be part of a team that provides strategic workforce planning advice, including data and analytics, to actively contribute to informing decisions for the ongoing achievement of successful outcomes for policing and the Queensland community.
Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Lead in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and data integration processes that ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into a centralised data warehouse.
• Develop, maintain, and take ownership of existing data pipelines ensuring their smooth operation and troubleshooting any issues.
• Innovate Data Engineering approaches and identify opportunities for improvements for HR data strategy and management, using new technologies and industry trends.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, business teams and workforce analysts to understand requirements and translate them into efficient data pipelines.
• Ensure data quality and security within the pipelines by implementing robust data quality checks and validation processes to maintain integrity.
• Document and maintain technical documentation for data pipelines to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure continuity.

• Highly Desirable
- Database design & data modelling
- Microsoft SQL Server database 2012 or higher BI Services suite
- Expert knowledge of TSQL, Oracle PL/SQL & ETL
- Expert knowledge of Python or R Script
- SDLC methodologies, AGILE
- Sound understanding of Analytics trends & data governance methodologies
• Desirable
- Advanced level knowledge of data manipulation and integration
- Big Data Technologies
- Knowledge of .NET framework and C#
