DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage, lead and grow the HR Department by supporting, coaching and mentoring
- Foster positive relationships among all employees and management, emphasising a collaborative work environment
- Support, guide and advise departmental managers on policy interpretation, administration, recruitment, disciplinary investigations and other HR related topics
- Create, improve and develop a recruitment strategy, working closely with department managers and recruitment companies to attract and retain top talent
- Stay updated on HR best practices, legislative changes, and industry standards, ensuring compliance with Australian employment law
- Manage HR services, including compensation and performance management, exit interviews, recruitment planning, and payroll administration, while maintaining internal controls and adherence to legal and company policies
- Manage and oversea the payroll department ensuring that accounting activities are in line with policies and procedures
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- A degree in Human resources and experience working in a HR Management role managing people across multiple site locations
- Advanced knowledge of relevant employment standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of addressing sensitive HR issues and influencing others across all organisational levels.
- Professional and resourceful approach, able to work independently and collaboratively, led by example, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, keen attention to detail, proven conflict resolution and negotiation abilities, and proficiency in utilising technology as a workplace tool.
