About The Role:
Reporting directly to the Group Manager People & Culture based in Brisbane, this role will lead HR for a critical Queensland site and be supported by a national HR team. You will be partnering with the General Manager and their site leadership team to optimize culture and site performance.
This role will have a strong focus on creating and maintaining a positive workplace culture through a transformational period of change, supporting merger and acquisition initiatives while maintaining business as usual. As a member of the site-based management team, you will be instrumental in the success of the change, ensuring that the site feels supported and enabled. Working closely with the General Manager, you will execute the people plan and the initiatives that support it.
To excel in this role, you will have:
- Experience operating as a human resources leader
- Experience working with complex ER/IR and EA workforces
- Ability to relate, engage, and build credible rapport across all levels of a workforce
- Commitment to upholding values and building a great culture
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of HR experience in mining, heavy industry, or construction
- Strong understanding of ER/IR matters, with exposure to unions highly valued.
- Proven track record in delivering impactful HR programs and change management initiatives.
