All Aspects Recruitment & HR Services are currently seeking a Station Manager and for a role located in the Cape York QLD region.
Station Manager Duties include –
- Physically perform and manage all tasks as required in the day-to-day operations on the station.
- Abide by existing laws on animal cruelty in each state/territory as a minimum, and then to adopt the policy and procedures on animal welfare and ensure all employees on the Station do the same.
- Provide a monthly management report in writing on all material facts regarding the operations conducted during the previous month by the tenth of the following month.
- Keep all station records including herd paddock records, plant and equipment, inventory, infrastructure maintenance schedules and financial records.
- Proactively engage with stakeholders as directed to facilitate the delivery of environmental and cultural projects on the station, such as supporting staff, and contractors involved in fire abatement and fire control, biodiversity monitoring and cultural camps.
- Management of, and financial control of the station in accordance with the approved budget and guidelines.
- Management of the repair, maintenance and care of all infrastructure, plant & equipment, and vehicles in accordance with the recommended industry standards. Maintain a repair and maintenance schedule for individual items of equipment.
- Management of the station staff including the induction and appropriate training of all staff and trainees on the station.
- Undertake other duties in relation to the management of the station as directed.
Requirements –
- Possession of a valid driver’s licence is essential.
- Experience in a similar role.
- There may be a requirement to undertake extended out of hours of work. Travel to remote locations may require the need to drive 4WD vehicles (training provided).
- Subject to the approval of the Delegate accrued Annual Leave must be taken during the “Wet Season” or “Off Peak” season.
