About the RoleOur client is an emerging player within the Magnetite Iron Ore sector in Western Australia. They are currently transitioning from the design and approvals process to a construction phase and seek a suitably experienced HSEQ Manager to join the Leadership team to guide them on this journey.

You will need to be a motivated self-starter who has the experience and willingness to interact at all levels of the business. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be the HSEQ focal point when interacting with senior leadership and business partner networks. Experience working within a Major Capital Project (MCP) as a client or EPCM HSEQ manager would be of advantage. This is a Perth based role that would provide oversight to the site and Perth office-based teams.

The Main Responsibilities Would Include:- Provide effective leadership in promoting, respecting, and complying with the HSEQ practices of the organisation.
- Manage FIJV's focus on safety, liaise with stakeholders on HSEQ matters, and ensure compliance with WHS and environmental legislation.
- Lead the design of HSEQ strategy, promote continuous improvement of the HSEQ system, and implement strategies to address emerging performance trends.
- Assist with and oversee ICAM investigations and manage the integrated management system (IMS) in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Coach and advise team members in root cause analysis, support field/project HSEQ teams, and ensure uniform knowledge and delivery of HSEQ systems across the business.
- Prepare HSEQ reports, procedures, and management plans, and oversee the development of project-specific HSEQ plans.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role
- Sound knowledge and management of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO45001 systems.
- Intermediate level of computer literacy.
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or higher.
- High level of working knowledge of HSEQ systems and continual improvement principles, practice and legislation.
- Extensive HSEQ experience within the Resources sector (Mining or Oil and Gas)
- Proven leadership and management experience.
- Successfully performed internal and project audits in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO45001.
