The Company:
The Fitzroy Group produces steelmaking coal from assets situated in the world-renowned Bowen Basin of Central Queensland. Carborough Downs is an underground longwall and bord & pillar mining operation, located 25km east of Moranbah in the heart of the Bowen Basin.
The Role:
Reporting to the site General Manager, in this newly created position, the HR Superintendent will provide professional and confidential generalist Human Resources support and leadership to the Fitzroy Carborough Downs mine site.
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Employee relations:
- Investigations
- Disciplinary processes
- Grievances
Industrial relations:
- Enterprise bargaining
- Documentation associated with agreement making
- Disputation
- Employee representative/union liaison
Remuneration and Benefits:
- Annual salary review process
- Job Benchmarking
- Ad hoc analysis and review of remuneration and benefits
- Support and advice related to the Fitzroy benefits program
Talent:
- Site based potential and talent assessment process
- Succession planning
- Periodic performance reviews
- Coordination of individual development plans
Workforce Planning:
- Annual workforce planning process
- Manage the headcount control process and key data
Reporting:
- Provide monthly reports of key HR related data and information
- Provide ad hoc reporting and metrics as required
Organisational Development:
- Support engagement and cultural initiatives
- Development of position descriptions
About You:
You will be an experienced Human Resources/People & Culture Advisor or Business Partner looking for the next step in your career. You will have a working knowledge of the Fair Work Act. You will have demonstrated Generalist Human Resources experience in unionised industrial environments and exposure to enterprise bargaining.
