Delivering, planning and evaluating high-level clinical nutrition services to inpatients and outpatients of Blacktown Mt Druitt Hospitals (BMDH) with gastrointestinal disorders / surgery. Acting as a consultant to medical, nursing and other staff across BMDH in gastrointestinal disorders / surgical nutritional management. The Gastro Surgical Dietitian will be responsible for providing of high quality, evidence based nutritional care of inpatients and outpatients with gastrointestinal disorders/surgery.The Gastro Surgical Dietitian will be involved in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on Dietetic services, including monitoring, reviewing and developing relevant clinical nutrition policies and protocols.How to Apply

- Qualification: Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligible for full membership of Dietitians’ Australia
- Up-to-date knowledge, skills and competence in the nutritional management of patients with gastrointestinal disease and surgery.
- Extensive experience in the nutritional management of patients with complex gastrointestinal disorders and surgery.
- Well-developed written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, effective time management and ability to prioritise workload.
- Well-developed skills in clinical supervision and student teaching and training.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a specialised multidisciplinary team that provides services to patients with gastrointestinal disorders and surgery.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and experience with initiating and leading quality improvement projects.
- Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays and on call, if required
