Pearl Recruitment is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor, for our client, a medium-sized production site, contributing to the safety and well-being. This pivotal role involves providing expert guidance, support, and implementing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management systems, reporting directly to the HST Superintendent.
Roster: 8:6
Salary Range: Negotiable Depending on Experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The role encompasses developing and implementing OHS management systems, conducting workplace inspections, and providing expert advice on risks and operational controls. Additionally, you'll contribute to H&S objectives, maintain documentation, and support injury management.
Your active involvement in safety meetings, full compliance with policies, and a positive safety culture are crucial. Your leadership will contribute to reduced risk exposure and injuries, ensuring a safe and healthy workplace.
To be successful in this position, you will require the following:
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or higher.
- 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
- NPC Within 6 Months
- Solid understanding of requirements for personnel training.
- Proficient in Management systems and Auditing.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems.
- Injury Management and Incident Investigation – highly desirable.
