About the Role
Directly reporting to the Head of QM & EHS – AU/NZ, your role will see you support the Service Division focusing on 3 major projects across the country. The HSE Advisor will ensure corporate and legislative OH&S compliance and corporate quality standards as well as working with site teams and contractors to enure standards are met.
Duties
- Provision of input into lessons learned and continuous improvement.
- Providing environmental, safety, and occupational health support, assistance, and guidance to the Service Teams on a daily basis, and the wider business as required.
- Implementing the requirements of the Service Site EHS plan and company procedures at the site level.
- Monitoring compliance with company procedures and key performance indicators through inspections, audits, and reviews.
- Preparation of EHS reporting to ensure internal and external compliance for service sites on performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting the company with monitoring and reporting on adherence to the company and Customer quality requirements for Service sites.
- Conducting analysis and reports on changes to relevant EHS State and Federal laws and regulations and providing advice and support on subsequent changes for internal standards.
- Management of post-incident and incident investigation in accordance with Site EHS Plans and legislative requirements.
- Maintenance of EHS and Quality records including risk and aspect registers.
Requirements:
- An OHS Diploma Level Qualification
- Solid site-based HSE experience preferably within a large construction/operations project environment or equivalent
- Solid knowledge of QHSE processes and relevant New Zealand safety legislation.
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to working in compliance with OH&S Legislation
- Strong administrative skills including competency with MS Word, Excel, and SharePoint (desirable).
- A current unrestricted New Zealand Driver’s Licence with the ability to travel to site as required.
- Projects in Taranaki, Hawkes Bay & Wellington
- Flexible working arrangement but needs to be able to commute to one of the above locations & travel as required
