Tax Accountant /Advisor - Financial Institution

You will be responsible for managing tax compliance, reporting, tax governance and international tax.DescriptionThe key responsibilities and duties:Tax and accounting

• Prepare documents necessary for tax related applications including transfer pricing
• Update regulations regarding taxation and accounting including development of tax governance and tax control framework
• Oversees tax compliance & remedial activities
• Implement daily, monthly, quarterly and annually operations related to accounting and taxation
• Operate and manage accounting system
• Troubleshoot regarding tax and accounting matters
• Support external audits and prepare financial statements

Risk Management

• Support liquidity risk management by calculating cash flow
• Update and improve cash flow sheet

Management Accounting

• Prepare and monitor expense budget plan
• Prepare expense payment
• Prepare monthly management accounting

Reporting

• Prepare regulatory reports and submit to authorities
• Update the regulatory requirements and manage the reporting system
• Prepare regular reports to the parent bank
• Answer inquiries from authorities and the parent bank

ProfileIn order to be considered for this role you will have the following key attributes, skills and strengths:

• Solid corporate tax experience in accounting firms or global companies
• Strong understanding of Australian tax legislation and exposure to international tax rules for a global organisation
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Japanese language skill will be highly regarded but not a must
