About the Role:
As a Site Safety Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of our operations and personnel at various work sites. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive safety assessments and audits on-site to proactively identify potential hazards and risks.
- Devising and implementing safety protocols, programs, and procedures in alignment with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborating closely with project teams to provide expert safety advice, deliver training, and encourage a culture of safety vigilance.
- Leading investigations into incidents and near-miss events, effectively pinpointing root causes and driving the implementation of corrective measures.
- Remaining informed about the latest safety trends and best practices and integrating these insights into our safety strategies.
To be successful in this type of role
- Appropriate certifications in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or related fields.
- First Aid & CPR training Certificate
- Experience in a similar role, preferably within sectors like civil engineering or mining
- Must have experience with general HSE systems management and incident investigation and reporting.
- Be flexible and adaptable to dynamic environments and shifting priorities.
- Must be an excellent communicator and able to build rapport with all key stakeholders.
- Digital Proficiency: Competence in utilizing safety management software and related tools.
- Demonstrate a real passion for safety.
