Buildon Construction is building a Battery Energy Storage Facility in the Wagerup area, which is located about 30 minutes’ drive from Pinjarra and 45 minutes’ drive from Mandurah. A HSE adviser is needed to assist and support in coordinating and facilitating health and safety activities across the site to meet health and safety requirements.
Duties:
Ensure Compliance: Ensure adherence to the company's Contracting Safety Management System requirements.
Delivery of Fundamental HSE Processes: Oversee the implementation and application of basic HSE processes within the organization.
Site Safety Inspections: Manage and support the execution of site safety inspections and subsequent reporting.
Incident Investigation and Risk Assessments: Provide assistance in conducting incident investigations and risk assessments, including coaching and facilitation.
Safety Incident Follow-up: Monitor safety incidents and ensure timely completion of corrective actions.
SWMS Management: Facilitate the development of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and ensure their correct usage on-site.
Continuous Improvement: Support the team in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in HSE practices.
Implementation of Health and Safety Requirements: Offer advice and assistance in implementing legislated health and safety requirements.
Risk Assessment and Emergency Procedures: Assist in conducting risk assessments and managing site emergency procedures, including participation in emergency drills.
Documentation and Reporting: Develop and format safety documents, presentations, training materials, and reports for stakeholders.
Stakeholder Relationships: Cultivate effective relationships with project-based personnel to ensure HSE objectives are met.
Safety Responsibilities: Ensure all personnel fulfill their safety-related responsibilities, including site inspections, risk assessments, and Job Hazard Analysis preparation.
HSE Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver presentations as part of the HSE training and awareness program.
Records Management: Assist in maintaining HSE registers, records, training matrices, and identifying training needs.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to all HSE-related tasks and responsibilities.
The job can be casual, part time or full time, depending on your availability. The contract will last for over 6 months. Applicants must have some form of HSEQ qualification or solid knowledge of it.
Being able to work on Saturdays is a great advantage.
