About the Role
They are looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their leadership team and drive a culture of safety excellence. As part of their commitment to safety, you will work closely with business leaders and the workforce to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Your role will involve implementing and maintaining self-insurance systems, leading safety training programs, and overseeing injury management initiatives. This position is critical in building a strong safety culture and achieving their goal of reducing workplace injuries.
About You
It will take a special individual to win this role. You will be equally at home supporting senior stakeholders, as you are rolling up your sleeves. You will have ability and proven experience in developing and driving cultural change with a complex, diverse business, but you have a strong commitment to making sure that the fundamentals are in place from a Safety perspective. You will be passionate about Safety to be able to influence at all levels of the organisation.
Additionally, to be successful in this role you will require:
- A strong track record in a HSE management role within a large, diverse organisation
- A strong ability of driving cultural change
- Proven experience identifying and deploying process improvements
- Proven influencing and relationship building skills at all levels within an organisation
- An approach that balances a strategic mindset with strong technical knowledge and commercial pragmatism
- Formal qualifications in Health, Safety & Environment
