Service Stream’s Transport division is seeking a HSEQ Advisor to join our growing company. Reporting to the Contract Manager your main role will be to contribute to the safe work environment through promoting a safe workplace culture and leading Health & Safety awareness to reduce the number of incidents and injuries and ensure the safety management systems developed, implemented, and maintained. Nature of position: Max term 4-month Contract, Full TimeLocation: Port Augusta, SA – Regional Travel Involved (4 days per fortnight)Reporting Line: Contract Manager Key Responsibilities:Manages the implementation of policy to deliver work, health and safety outcomesManages the implementation of policy to deliver environmental and quality outcomesDevelops, implements, and reviews ongoing compliance of contract-specific safety, environmental, quality and incident response and special event management plansAdvises and assists in the preparation of Job Safety Analyses and Safe Work Method StatementsEnsures safety, environmental & quality incidents and events are reported, investigated and closed-outReviews and reporting of safety, environmental and quality performance statistics, and advises on trends and potential for improvementsReports regularly to the Contract Manager on safety and environmental performance and any pertinent mattersWorks with the Contract Manager, Maintenance Manager, Project Delivery Manager, and supervisors to report, action and closeout any safety, environmental, and quality, non-conformancesWorks with DIT’s Safety and Environmental teams to ensure alignment with DIT’s specifications and the timely closeout of any incidents or assigned actionsAdvises the Workplace Safety Committee as facilitated by DITCollaborates quarterly Operational Training Days for maintenance crews and subcontractors, sharing safety performance, innovations and discussing mitigation strategies for high-risk activities About you:Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science, or WHS Management, combined with an advanced knowledge of roleExperience in an EHS role, and/or expert knowledge of the construction and industry, corporate safety standards and programs and relevant Work, Health & Safety legislation.Customer service and organising skills, combined with communication skills, both oral and written; including the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.Competencies include Customer Focus, Planning and Organising, Problem Solving and Analytical Thinking, Technology and Process, Verbal Communication About Us:Service Stream, together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, is a leading national service provider to develop and operate Australia's essential communications, energy and water networks in the telecommunications, utilities and transport industries.
