- Min 3 years' experience within a Tier 1 or 2 Builder
- Cert IV or Diploma Work Health Safety
- Possess a valid WA Manual Drivers Licence
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheets, and HSEQ software systems
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Sound ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and complex problem solving
- Experience auditing construction projects
- Exposure investigating incidents utilising the ICAM methodology/ 5 Whys etc.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders of the business
Key Responsibilities:
- Support company operations in all aspects of HSEQ as required
- Manage the incident investigation and emergency response program, acting as the lead investigator for all incidents, coordinating and developing effective actions to prevent re-occurrence
- Positively influence, and advise Leaders and workforce on Health and Safety requirements under Workplace Health & Safety Legislation
- Undertake construction project audits to ensure contractors and workers are complying with all requirements of the specific Project HSEQ Management Plan and Federal Safety Commission requirements
- Designing, developing and delivering training programs to support the company’s Safe system of work
- Developing and maintaining HSEQ documentation to ensure continuous improvement in HSEQ and training as applicable
- Collating HSEQ data, developing risk mitigation strategies, delivering presentations and reports to executive management and other stakeholders
- Advise on relevant WHS legislation and review changes to legislative requirements for all states and territories of Australia and New Zealand is desirable
