POSITION OBJECTIVES:
If you have experience working in a collaborative team environment in construction and/or quarrying; and qualifications in Safety (mandatory), Quality and Environment (would be good but not mandatory) apply here now.
This position will provide both on-site and administrative assistance to our Civil Project Supervisors, General Manager and Quarry Supervisors within the fields of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality. An average day may involve:
- assisting with drafting up a civil site’s traffic management plan
- attending a civil project site with signage and checking on a TMP
- providing assistance with drawing up SWMS for a civil project
- liaising with regulatory bodies to establish licencing requirements for a quarry
- coordinating IMS audit requirements
- reporting to General manager on a Quarry operation’s environmental compliance
- On-site liaison to ensure team is meeting Client safety requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate internal and third party audits
- Monitor and report compliance with safe systems of work, procedures and processes
- Assist with incident reporting and investigations
- Report on project compliance with HSEQ outputs and outcomes
- Coordinate the company’s ISO accreditation and facilitate audits with external parties as required.
- Assist with coordinating quarry quality systems: material sampling; analysis; and consultation with testing authorities and other regulatory bodies
- Coordinate compliance with Quarry tenements including licences, reporting and lease conditions
- Build collaborative relationships and provide dependable advice
- Monitor implementation of Toolbox Talks, Take-5s, weekly site inspections and task observation and facilitate HSEQ forums, training and workshops
- Present high quality written reports
