Equipped Civil is currently looking to appoint an experienced HSEQ Manager to join our growing team, providing specialist Health and Safety advice, administrative support and helping to implement safety principles and processes across the business.

About the Role:
Reporting to the CEO, the position of HSEQ Manager is a hands-on safety role that is responsible for providing organisation wide leadership with relation to safety and driving the safety-first culture at Equipped Civil.
This position will provide strategy, direction and advice, working in close consultation and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The completion of risk assessments, audits, training and reporting WHS performance against a safety management plan is also a significant component of the position.
This position will be primarily based at our Burton offices but will require travel to and from our job sites.

- Apply fundamental risk management principles to ensure a workplace free of fatalities, injuries, and illnesses.
- Other activities as directed by the CEO.
About You:
This position would be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced safety professional (minimum 5 years’ experience) with a hands on approach who has the capability to take the HSEQ function at Equipped Civil to the next level. To be successful in this role, you will have strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the business.
Demonstrated experience in a civil, industrial, transport, mining or quarry background would be advantageous due to the operational and high-risk nature of our environment.
You will need:
Ideally you will;
- Possess detailed knowledge of South Australian Occupational Health & Safety Regulations, Standards & Code of Practice.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of workplace health and safety principles and their practical application.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Hold a Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
- Cert 4 in WHS
- Return to Work Coordinator certification.
- South Australian driver’s license
- Right to work in Australia
- Police check (to be completed during recruitment process)
- Proficiency in using common software tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
