HSEQ Officer

ICM Group is an Electrical Engineering and Contracting company based in Canning Vale, Perth.  We specialise in design and construct solutions that optimise materials handling productivity for the Industrial, Commercial and Mining sectors.  

We are a small to medium sized company where the individual is respected and potential abilities recognised and developed.

We are located in Canning Vale, Perth, employing around 25 specialised engineers, technicians and trades personnel.

We are currently seeking an HSEQ Officer whose primary objective is to monitor and ensure the effective administration and maintenance of our Management System frameworks including Quality, Work Health and Safety and Environment. 

This role is a permanent full-time position and may require occasional travel to remote sites.

The Role includes:

• Manage, maintain and improve the company's Health, Safety, Environment and Quality management systems.
• Develop HSEQ strategies, initiatives and action plans. 
• Ensure HSEQ legislative compliance across all sites.
• Foster a positive safety culture. 
• Provide advice and assistance to Managers, Supervisors & staff members regarding their HSEQ roles and responsibilities.
• Ensure all HSEQ incidents are investigated, reported and followed up.
• Conduct trend analysis for the risks, reported hazards and incidents.
• Manage all workers compensation claims and co-ordinate injury management and return to work programs.
• Participate in compliance audits, both internal and external.

Requirements:          

• A tertiary qualification in OHS / Certificate IV.
• A commitment to developing processes and continuous improvement.
• A good understanding of HSEQ Management Systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Be quality driven and hands on.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• A desire to influence, challenge and motivate people to ensure ownership of health and safety across the organisation.
• Experience in an HSEQ role preferred.

• Experience in the mining industry.
