As we continue to grow and innovate, we are seeking a skilled HSEQ Officer or Junior HSEQ Manager to enhance our commitment to safety and quality excellence.
About the role:
This is a Full Time opportunity to join the EXGroup team based in our Forrestdale office. As an HSEQ Officer you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining our HSEQ standards and procedures. You will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, identify areas for improvement, and promote a culture of safety and quality throughout the organisation.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Effective management of all Quality and Health, Environment and Safety facets of EXGroup work. And projects.
- Provide weekly & monthly targets and updates to other senior management to ensure the company and its employees are working within current QA/HSE legislations and protocols.
- Execute any initiatives to help maintain a Safe Work Place and maintain a high level of Quality
- Understand and maintain all relevant quality and health and safety procedures and keep the company employees informed of changes.
- Applies to, but not limited to NATA, ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
- Ensure that Quality Policies and Procedures are adhered to and these are reviewed for changes or improvement on a regular basis by using the Corrective Action and Non Conformance reports to identify system compliance and potential changes.
- Constantly improve throughput volume by maximizing the output level per employee whilst reducing level of rework and or waste.
- Promote safe working practices in a clean safe working environment, with a team approach to achieve HSE goals & Objectives.
- Where necessary, complete workshop/facilities and site audits from time to time, to ensure working QA/HSE procedures are being followed and adhered to.
- Adherence to company policy regarding HSE, having a commitment & participation in HSE initiatives for improvement.
The Successful Candidate will ideally have:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science (preferred)
- Certification in HSEQ (preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of HSEQ regulations and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
