The Hampton Hub is a skills-based centre for participants with disabilities.
Our aim is to teach our clients basic maintenance of automobiles, lawn mowers, repairing household items such as furnishings, and other home handyman repairs for our participants to build their independence. We always aim to build participants' skills in the hope that they one day will be able to gain meaningful employment when the opportunity presents itself.
The skills we're teaching are the safe and proper use of hand tools and electric tools, handling materials, and constructing items made of wood and metal.
The prospective employee would have skills in woodwork, automotive maintenance or metalwork skills such as fabrication and welding.
Candidates must have:
A strong safe work ethic.
An understanding of a workshop environment for participants with disabilities.
Must be a team player.
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to problem-solve
Working with Childrens Check (desire to attain this prior to commencement)
National Police Check
First Aid and CPR (desire to attain this)
