As we continue to expand our operations, we have a new opportunity for an experienced Human Resource Adviser to join our HR team in Perth Head Office.
The HR Advisor is responsible for supporting specific mine site with the ongoing management, performance and utilization of their workforce across every step of the employee lifecycle. The role also takes a keen interest in ensuring that employee information, skills and qualifications comply with the relevant award standards, organizational policies and expected qualities for our people.
Required Competencies:
- Bachelor’s or Higher degree preferred in HR or similar.
- 3+ years of experience in a mine site-based generalist HR role.
- Experience in Mining industry.
- Experience working with diverse workforces and cultures.
- Experience interpreting EAs, awards and legislation.
- Ability to work within a team and be flexible with a “can do” attitude.
- Working Knowledge of the industrial legislation and employment law matters.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain HR data including organisational charts, databases, and systems.
- Preparing contracts and employment packages for new employees.
- Providing advice and support on HR policies and procedures.
- Coordinate site recruitment needs and liaise with the Corporate recruitment team and assist in the onboarding of new employees.
- Administering site-based employees salary and benefit variations.
- Measuring and monitoring the sites HR performance based upon appropriate metrics.
- Championing key HR initiatives to ensure positive culture and retention.
- Manage and coordinate training activities and initiatives.
- Support end-to-end recruitment and onboarding.
- Develop relationships with the HR counterparts of the projects’ clients to facilitate problem solving and resolve disputes.
- Supporting the transfer of employees between sites, ensuring appropriate documentation is completed and processed.
