My client is a not-for-profit organisation that provides services to Tasmanian businesses. The organisation has been operating for over 100 years in Tasmania. The organisation is committed to creating meaningful employment for people with disabilities and from disadvantaged backgrounds. They are expanding and growing, and therefore are looking for some assistance in the Human Resources department.
Your new role:
A Human Resources Administrator is responsible for assisting with running the Human Resources department. You'll be responsible for recruitment, admin, training, compliance and other duties. HR Administrators also observe labour laws and employment legislation across the entire company. They are usually the first point of contact for all HR-related matters and often deal with internal and external parties.
Recruitment and selection: You will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for various positions within the organisation. You will also be responsible for conducting reference checks and coordinating pre-employment checks.
Onboarding and off-boarding: You will be responsible for ensuring that new employees are properly on-boarded and that departing employees are off-boarded in a timely and professional manner.
Employee relations: You will be responsible for managing employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary action.
HR administration: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date HR records, including employee files, benefits administration, and payroll administration.
What you'll need to succeed:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations
