Norwest Christian College is an independent, co-educational P-12 school located in the growing north-west sector of Sydney. The College is currently seeking to appoint an experienced Human Resources Manager, who will also have responsibility for Compliance Officer tasks. This position will report directly to the Principal and will support the College’s growing staff team in all HR related duties, and the College Senior Executive and Board with policy writing and reviewing.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at interview a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active commitment to a Christian fellowship, as well as the following skills and experience:
- minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resources (advantageous);
- relevant supervisory and/or management experience in Human Resources;
- tertiary qualifications in Human Resources management;
- working knowledge of relevant legislation;
- management of a suite of Policies that comply with National and State Regulations and Legislations;
- creation of procedures and process documents and a clear understanding of version control;
- assistance with a school registration process (advantageous);
- advanced Microsoft Office skills;
- proven ability to research, organise, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines;
- strong drafting, writing, and proof-reading skills;
- excellent initiative and problem solving skills;
- experience multitasking and managing projects;
- a willingness to learn and assist where required;
- experience supporting Management;
- qualifications in Risk Management (advantageous); and,
- experience working in a school setting (advantageous).
