The Associate Director- Compliance Lead will lead Treasury’s compliance assurance program including the development of the strategy for the delivery of the program. Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Overseeing the compliance assurance testing program and broader compliance program
- Managing the compliance incident policy and reporting requirements across the agency
- Overseeing the compliance awareness communication and training initiatives across the agency
- Liaising with stakeholders at a variety of levels on key compliance matters and application of the Treasury Compliance Management Framework
- Leading quarterly reporting deliverables to the Audit and Risk Committee
About You
Ideally, you will embody these attributes:
- Prior experience in compliance management in accordance with relevant standards and industry best practice.
- Extensive experience reviewing and providing advice pertaining to compliance management and tailoring advice to suit the needs of diverse stakeholder groups.
- Extensive knowledge and application of compliance and risk management processes.
- Exceptional ability to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and continued quality output.
- Proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic and often challenging environment.
- An ability to manage competing priorities and experience in coordinating projects or key deliverables.
- Proven success in uplifting policy, compliance, and risk management processes.
- Experience leading the day-to-day activities of a small team of compliance professionals.
About the Team
The Risk, Compliance & Audit team is a small team which is built on a foundation of flexibility, inclusion and support.
The team works closely with all business groups and reports regularly to the Audit & Risk Committee (ARC) and the Treasury Secretary and Leadership team. The team is responsible for overseeing the Compliance Management Framework across Treasury to ensure relevant obligations are met and there is awareness among staff through regular advice and training.
