With that in mind, we are searching for an agile, knowledgeable, and resilient Human Resources (HR) professional with leadership capabilities to foster the growth of our HR Team, 400+ Place people and our 15 sales offices.
Our ideal candidate will have HR generalist experience, a strong knowledge of HR legislation, and the ability to partner with key stakeholders at all levels to achieve business outcomes. You will have a hunger for problem solving, and enjoy viewing the HR world in colour, not just in black and white.
This is a full-time opportunity, reporting to the Head of HR and People, available for immediate commencement (or we can work with your timeline) and will be based at our modern Head Office located on James Street, Fortitude Valley.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level leadership in the HR Operations Lane to 3 other HR Coordinators and 1 HR Administrator including role guidance, training, and coaching.
- Flex between supporting strategic direction and rolling up your sleeves being hands on by managing a small but mighty HR portfolio of two key Place businesses, delivering the end-to-end HR Coordinator service.
- Deliver HR initiatives and services that drive engagement including employee relations, performance management, recruitment and selection, employee wellbeing and engagement and learning and development.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage key milestone moments, reporting rhythms and overall workflow of the department.
- Work alongside and act as a reliable resource to the Head of HR and People to ensure standard operations, budgets, project completion and client service delivery are in alignment with organisational and HR strategy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.
- At least 5-7 years of experience as a HR Generalist/Coordinator.
- Demonstrated experience in the full end to end operations of the employee lifecycle, ability in managing a team and workflow management.
- Thorough understanding and experience in the application of the legislative and industrial framework that applies to Human Resources Management.
- Ability to provide advice that is timely, fair, and achieves a positive workplace culture.
- Confident communicator with the ability to relate to people at all levels to navigate complex challenges and provide solutions.
