AddressRecruitWesthas a vacancies for MechanicalandHVElectrical Power Station Operator / Maintainers to work in the Goldfields region on a 8/6 FIFO Roster.
The Maintenance Technicians will have an overall focus on the safe and efficient Maintenance of operating assets in the Goldfields region of WA. The jobs are primarily day shift with occasional night shift duties for unplanned outage. Occasional travel to other operating sites may also be a required.
As the Electrical and Mechanical OMT, you are responsible to:
- HV Switching Operator per 5.18 MSIR 1995 (Electrical)
- Carrying out maintenance and planning activities.
- Assist with planning, organising and delivery of Capital Works Projects
- Troubleshooting problems with generating equipment for continued supply and restoration.
- Daily collaboration with the Regional Control System Operators on plant performance and daily required maintenance schedule.
- Assisting in planning of major and routine outages.
- Be able to provide detailed reports during routine maintenance tasks and unplanned maintenance events.
What we are looking for you to have is:
- Relevant Mechanical or Electrical Trade qualification.
- WA Electrical Licence (Electricians)
- HV Switching Certificate (Electricians)
- Working knowledge of power generation, transmission and distribution
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
- A Valid C Class Australian Driver's Licence (manual)
- Intermediate computer skills (email, word, spreadsheet)
- Must be able to work in hot and cold environments, at heights and within confined spaces
- Working knowledge of and the ability to interpret mechanical, electrical and P&ID drawings, and specifications.
