About you
We are looking for an HV Power Supply Engineer with experience in testing and commissioning as well as operation and maintenance of low-voltage Power Supply systems (substations, transformers, generators, UPS, sub-main distribution, protection coordination, earthing and bonding, lightning protection, surge protection, discrimination etc.).
You'll hold:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering recognized by Engineers Australia (required).
• Certificate in using vendor-specific engineering tools (a plus).
• Charted Engineer certificate issued by an institute recognized by Engineers Australia (a plus).

You'll have:

• Strong ability to communicate and present information/data by means of visualisation tools.
• Investigative, analytical and research skills, using software to record, manipulate and present asset and project programming data.
• Appetite to learn more and further develop your skills (continuous development)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural Team environment.
• Willingness to work outside the normal working hours if required to deliver work within a tight delivery schedule.

Your Opportunity
Mott MacDonald is working on a number of city-shaping Transport projects across NSW and our Energy team currently has a vacancy for a HV Power Supply Engineer.
This is a key role within the Mott MacDonald Core Team of Metro Systems Integration. You will have the opportunity to liaise with worldwide members of Mott MacDonald to build technical integration capability and develop training and briefing material for the Rail Academy worldwide.

• Act as the Engineer responsible for low-voltage power generation and supply systems and provide domain expertise in Sydney Metro and within Mott MacDonald.
• Develop effective practices and plans for the testing and commissioning of low-voltage Power Supply systems.
• Supervise testing and commissioning of low-voltage Power Supply systems, collect data/evidence and assess compliance.
• Prepare and update technical specifications to capture changes in the current state-of-the-art.
• Identify required improvements in the architecture and specifications of low-voltage Power Supply systems. #LI-MW1
